But I've never searched for them specifically. I couldn't, even if I wanted to, because I don't know any of their last names. As far as I'm concerned, though, what they do in their free time is not my business. </p> <p>My BIL is a principal and he is SUPER careful about what he posts and where he goes out because of worrying about running in to kids' parents. Our daycare has a FB page so its' not hard to see the teachers and their profiles. My mom taught there many years ago and they're still friendly. I don't care what they do on their personal time as long as it doesn't affect lo, which is doesn't. I definitely partied hard in my 20's and that never impacted my work performance. </p> <p>I’ll be honest; if I were looking for 1:1 care like a nanny, I would probably be a total FB creeper. I couldn’t care less about partying on the weekends or similar (and posts like that would have zero impact on whether I hired someone), but I would like to have a heads up (and likely weed out) people who invite major serious DRAMA in their lives all the time. Keep in mind this was 2009 - with all the new social media platforms and the fact that FB is now 10 years old, its just getting harder and harder but we are constantly reminded to keep everything clean &amp; private. There have been a number of cases in my city of teachers posting really inappropriate stuff on their social media and students/parents coming across it, so I guess that's my school's reasoning. But she's got a BA in Early Childhood Education and she's NASM certified (it's a Kid's Academy/gym), so I don't care what she does in her free time.<br /> Related story: I used to be a preschool teacher, and one of the other teachers came running half hysterical into my room one day. She then told me that one of her new kid's Dad recognized her. Apparently he was a bouncer at a club she got blackout drunk at every Friday night for like 6 straight months. She wanted to die.
