Yes. I thought I was like 30 bucks in the hole once when I thought we lost several books. Turns out that they had the wrong email on file and I never received notice that I have books overdue. In the end, we did find them. I keep them now in a separate library bags hanging on each of their doors. My son takes books out from the school library also so those are in a separate bag. It helps to keep them separate. He will often bring a library book into his room so we have to be cautious of that - I usually don't realize until I've received the late fee though then I have to track it down! I'm really bad at returning all his books on time - we check out up to 20 at a time! BUT my friend gave me a good perspective on this - late fees are supporting our local libraries! They're not-for-profit so they need funding to come from somewhere ;) I told the librarian that and she laughed. </p> <p>I have lost a movie from the library before - that was awful! I had to pay the lost DVD fee which is about $25. I never found it either, even when we moved from that apartment.
