My LO is very vocal when her diaper needs changing, so this isn't a problem for us.

Yes! I've missed a poo and feel terrible about it. My LO doesn't tell me when she has a wet or dirty diaper so it's easy to miss. Luckily I'm with her most of the time so I usually know when she's going and change her right away.

Sometimes because she'll poop in her sleep! Usually it isn't too long until I discover it though.

I never used to because it was so loud, but lately he's been quiet and I don't always smell it. Like you I always feel sooo bad. So don't worry, you aren't alone!

Yes, sometimes it is just a really little turd so I have no idea, lol. But that rarely ever happens that they are that small!

My LO grunts and puuuuuuuuushes out her poos but sometimes I miss it. Eventually, though, I either smell it or she gets super fussy and I check.

@artbee: I think it's because we use prefolds too. I need to stick in a microfiber liner but it's not a problem unless I miss it.
I was kinda mad, especially since he was calling my LO whiny, of course she's whining.

@Maysprout: so far I've been lucky that her tush is always ok. I'd be soooo mad at that friend! How would he like it if he had to sit in poo?

@redpenmom: I wish my lo complained about it too!

Every great once in a while I'll miss them, but he usually doesn't tolerate it too long before he starts to complain, and then a whiff well tell me what the problem is. Also, it's such a complete and utter lie that BF poop doesn't smell!

Occasionally and I feel horrible too because her bum gets a little red too.

My husband's friend one time was playing with baby in the exersaucer and she kept crying every time he'd walk away so he started complaining that we were going to create an attention needy baby. She was only 3 months old so I went over to pick her up and she had a huge poo in her diaper. He's like oh yeah your husband (who'd gone outside to man the grill) told me to tell you when you came back in that she pooped. I'm like arrrrggggg, you don't think that might be a reason she's crying.

I can always tell if my baby is pooing because of her face. She visably pushes it out. And since I'm with her pretty much all the time, I usually see her doing it.

But then there are those times when for some reason I don't catch her. I have no sense of smell, and she doesn't complain about it. So I have no idea she poo'd until her next diaper change. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I feel awful! My poor baby had to sit there in poo for who knows how long.

Am I the only one who misses poo's?
