Yes when we are out and about. It's much easier to do with A, I think she gets wound up at night and is the happiest when the sun goes down. When E is tired though there is really no pushing with her.

When my ILs were in town this weekend, we let LO stay up until she was visibly cranky. She made it until about 8:45 & was asleep by 9. That's pretty late for her!

When she was about 6 months we took her to my brother's band performance which went pretty late. I nursed her & she dozed for a while but she didn't go to bed until like 10 that night!

bedtime is still sort of flexible here based on last nap time. but right now our LO definitely does better if we get her down within the half-hour range she normally falls asleep in. Although if we're pushing one way or the other, pushing later doesn't seem to have too much affect on her, whereas putting her to bed early = waking up WAY early.

Tonight a good friend came over with his two kids, and we had a playdate with our kids. Normally the kids would be asleep by 7:30/8 but tonight we pushed their bedtimes an hour so that they were down by 8:30/9.

I don't usually do that on a school night, but they've been fairly well rested lately and we figured that they can catch up on sleep tomorrow night and over the weekend!
