Since our older dog passed away, our younger dog doesn't know what to do outside. We have to resort to some weird things to get him to come into the grass, like I run to the end of the yard and do jumping jacks to get him excited and then he'll run out to me. And my husband has taken to jogging around the perimeter of the yard (it's not that big!) to get our dog to chase him for exercise. Eh, the things you do for your pets, right?</p> <p>@betsyboop: I did want to mention that I work for a park district and in the last year we've started offering hula hoop fitness classes and they are SO popular! They use weighted hoops and it really is a work out! There is one apartment unit that we can see DIRECTLY into from one side of our apartment but I've never seen them doing anything weird. It's just that our buildings are very close and the windows line up just so. This included the window in the baby's room, so I got some curtains up quickly since I don't really want them seeing me learn to breastfeed. </p> <p>My parents had bank robbers live down the street from them when we were little. Nice quiet street, and there had been a couple of bank robberies lately... all of a sudden there were like a dozen cop cars descending on the house at the end of the block. Very exciting. Now we are pretty sure there are drug dealers living down the street-- people coming and going at all times and just general shadiness. If it wasn't aligned right he would get back in and repeat. 2. We had these neighbors that would use the apartment complex's standard grills (like any you see at a public picnic area, etc.) to burn their mail...yes burn their mail. That means you can bend the rules pretty easily. There are definitely life-sized deer and boar targets in our back yard for bow practice and my husband has cleaned several deer in our garage. I keep trying to convince him that our neighbors would probably appreciate if we stopped acting so redneck. </p> <p>The only neighbor, besides us, with crazy behavior, just obsesses about his yard. It's kind of a running joke in the neighborhood because he literally comes home every single day and works on his yard until it's dark. Then again all weekend. He also owns orange cones, so that if people have yard sales or parties, he can block off his yard so people won't park along it. We've lived here for 6 years and it's always the same. We think he hates his wife. THE. TIME. We use to have this OCD creepy neighbor lady that would do these weird yoga exercises outside every morning and night (even with 3 ft of snow on the ground). She also had this weird routine when she left the house or came home. She had to open and shut the doors a certain amount of times and check the locks just as many before she would do anything. </p> <p>Creepy neighbor guy has peed outside and shaken his wiener at me. I called the cops the second time &amp; it hasn't happened again. Otherwise he has the same type of OCD problem the other neighbor has but he yells random weird noises out his doors &amp; windows. If my dogs are outside when he does it &amp; they happen to bark at him he yells at the dogs for barking. He's an old retired guy that sits out in his garage every morning to watch the news on the TV he keeps in there. During the fall I saw him raking the leaves off his tree to get them into a pile on the ground. I've also seen him sweeping his lawn in the summer, and raking the snow in the winter. That said, he also comes over every grabage day and brings our bins up to the house so they won't blow away. I guess it is a really good ab workout!?</p> <p>I don't necessarily think this is strange, but I'm still trying to figure it out. We just moved a little over a week ago into a new apartment, it's a house split into first floor/second floor apartments. The woman who lives upstairs keeps really odd hours, like she will randomly leave in the middle of the night, come home early in the morning, etc. I've also seen several different guys come pick her up, or just come to the apartment, and when she comes downstairs to let them in, they just walk back upstairs silently. She never greets them or anything. It's really weird! Like over the weekend, I happened to look out the window and see a random dude sitting on the front porch steps for a few minutes, and eventually she came down, opened the door for him, didn't say a word, and they went upstairs.</p> <p>My wild imagination thinks she's a "lady of the night", but I know that's probably ridiculous. Then I think, maybe she just has a lot of booty calls? But she totally doesn't seem like the type! From the few times I've talked to her she seems really put together and meticulous and she's really particular about certain things in the common areas of the house, like the foyer and laundry room.</p> <p>I don't know. Tonight a car pulled up with a guy in it and he was just idling out front for several minutes before she came down and got in, then they sat in the car for a few minutes before driving off. I was totally trying to side-eye watch out the window to see if it seemed like they were a couple.
