I like that I can gather stuff up and three days later I have a check. I've sold a few items, older GPS, MP3 players, etc. Other than that there's not really worth selling so it usually ends up in the trash or the exchange pile at the transfer station. I have put things up online for a low price and when people come to pick it up I just give it to them for free. I don't like clutter and DH is the same way so we're pretty good about clearing things out on a regular basis.
