@Mrs.Someone: I lost her at some point in the conversation but I think she was saying something about stopping the progesterone and estrogen if I assumed I wasn't pregnant, or something like that.

ETA: It seemed like they were mostly annoyed that I took the Estrace too long instead of switching to Estinyl so my estradiol didn't drop and I might have screwed up AF for this cycle.

@spaniellove: Your clinic sucks. You can't cause a miscarriage by not showing up for a blood test. Luckily you know that, but the nurse shouldn't be saying it!

@spaniellove: I'm sorry that they got mad about you skipping your beta. I could see why you wouldn't want to go and if I'd had to do many of them, I'd probably skip them too.

As an update - I ended up not going, and when I talked to a nurse about my CD3 numbers today wow did I get an earful about it. I got in all kinds of trouble with them! She told me that I was supposed to get my instructions (which are kind of complicated) on beta day and not following them can cause miscarriages. So I guess that's the answer to that.

I don't see the point in going in if you've already tested. Might as well save yourself some $$ and hassle.

I don't have to go for them after IUIs. My RE just has me take a HPT two weeks after IUI and call if I get my period.

I only did them for IVF. I would not want to go any other time!

At my RE if you got AF before the beta was scheduled, you just went in on CD3. I had a 14 day LP and the beta was always on 15DPO, so if I wasn't PG, I always got AF first.

I skip them and wait for AF. It almost feels like they just want an extra copay.

Last cycle my clinic had me just take an HPT since I was away the day I needed a beta and the cycle before that AF arrived on her own, so now I'm tempted to skip Saturday's beta if I keep getting BFNs before then. What's the point if I'm clearly not pregnant?
