We used to use a really loud fan (we actually tested in the store to see which was loudest), but we got a Marpac Dohm as shower gift last time, so we use that. We plan to co-bed, so it will still wind up being used for LO, right? :) We'll probably buy a second for her room as well, when she needs it. I'd never slept with white noise before and thought it was annoying at first, but now I like it. We did have to switch them from "babbling brook" to ocean waves, though because we constantly had to pee with the running water noises.
