@sloaneandpuffy: good to hear. We just got a sit and stand.

The double wide doesn't even fit through our doorway so I didn't want to get one. I do think they would have enjoyed sitting next to each other but the double wides seem too hard to manage. I have been baby wearing and using the single stroller. For short trips, my 3 year old walks and the baby is in the stroller. My 3 year old loves to help me push the stroller.

Our sit and stand is no problem but our (single) jogging stroller has a super wide base and often gets stuck in stores!

@Running Elley: that's was we did!

If I know we'll be in a lot of small stores, I always baby wear #2 and push #1 in the single stroller.

But if I take the double in small stores, people either feel obligated to help me, move things out of the way or give me dirty looks haha.

I'm dreading this! I'm considering not getting one right away and just wearing the baby while E is in the stroller...

Sometimes I struggle with a single stroller in stores! Some clothing stores -- including kids clothing stores! -- put their racks so lose together I have to really plan out my course of movement.

@prettylizy: Oh, nice! I bet that will be way easier, and shorter, than mine was. A good friend of mine has used that as a double for staggered aged kids and always raves about it.

@mrbee: Yep! I actually bought it in large part due to Mrs. Bee's recommend. We love it.

@MerryC: We have a Britax B-ready that will just have a second seat added to it, so I'm hoping it's no harder to navigate than it currently is, maybe the extra weight will make a difference though

@prettylizy: tandems are narrower but I've found they are still hard to navigate in tight and crowded spaces, and doorways. I actually think my combi twin is more compact overall and easier to maneuver than my double snap n go! But it's all personal preference, and I'm sure there are better tandems than the snap n go :)

I don't take ours in little stores for that reason! I typically wear one in an ergo and carry the other on my hip for little shops downtown and it's just easier to navigate. It keeps me from dilly dallying and spending too much money, too :)

@prettylizy: Yah that's the pro of a tandem... but our kids LOVE to sit next to each other in the double stroller and it makes stroller walks so much more pleasant!

This is why I want a tandem instead fo side by side! I'm already a total klutz I can't imagine trying to negotiate a double stroller too

I took the double stroller into a small grocery store today and it was a nightmare! There wasn't enough room for us to pass other people, so either we waited for them or they had to walk out of their aisle. Plus the kids kept grabbing for things on the shelf...

Finally I just gave up and took the kids outside, and we waited out front for Bee to do the shopping herself. I'll never bring the double stroller in that particular store again! I felt awful for my fellow shoppers... sorry guys!
