She's sort of right.</p> <p>We use it to tell her to close her eyes, or that one of us will be right in (even if we're lying and we just need her to calm down). It's mostly when she's awake or fussing and it's taking me a minute to get in there while making a bottle or something (not really an issue anymore.) I have found it useful if DH is home. When she's been sick I've been able to ask "hey can you google if we can give her tylenol now?" Or something like that and he can respond to me while I'm in there. I've tried not to do it much since then. I just say "night night sweetie" and he quiets up and goes back to sleep! We discovered it when he started waking up at night again after a loooong time of STTN. So amazing to discovery one quick check in of Mommy's voice, and he's comforted enough to go back to sleep! She woke up from her nap just as DH got home from work and he wanted to go in to get her. But she started freaking out because she thought it meant I wasn't at home at all. So I told her I was in the livingroom and Daddy would bring her to see me.
