I do! it's how I keep plodding along with what I'm doing. I see the big picture coming to fruition over the next 10 years. Career change, 1-2 more kids....I tend to get wrapped up in the day to day. The whole "can't see the forest through the trees"

I have the opposite problem, actually. I'm a very big picture thinker, so I tend to try and solve long term problems and create long term plans and not focus so much on the day to day details. Which leads to a lot of overthinking and obsessing and missing the "now."

I wonder about it since LO wa born since now I am in a part time position that will probably cease in another 2 years. I tell DH I have no clue what I'm going to do when LO goes off to school, and he's encouraging me to think about going back to school myself. I feel in limbo right now.

I did when we procured our business and farm lands. Now, I'm kind of in a rut, but recently evaluated I'd like to change jobs about a year after DD is born. Guess we'll see when that time comes!

I'm completely the other way. I always feel as though I'm in limbo, just waiting for the next thing to happen or for the opportunity to take the next step. I wish I could focus more on the here and now and try to enjoy my life.

There are times in life when I can't look at the big picture because of things that are going on in life at that moment. This is one of those times and it makes me sad. :( I hate it when things stall and you can't think about moving forward until a change you cannot control occurs.

I used to look at the big picture more when I was younger. I wanted certain things and to have them in a certain order and by a certain time. For example, I wanted to get married, buy a house, and start having children by 30. Each time I reached a milestone, I noticed and also looked ahead to the next one.

Now that I'm married, own a home, have two children, and a career, I kind of feel like I've made it. I feel like the next real big milestones for me are sending my kids to college, which won't happy for a while!!

I feel really happy with where I am at my life and all that I've accomplished.

The big picture? What your want out of life?

I have a tendency to get so caught up in the minutiae of everyday life, I feel like every now and then I come up for air to realize another 6 months has passed and it always feels so jarring.

Do you ever feel this way? Or like you're in a rut?
