OMG, that's so weird. My husband and I talk about this all the time. Like there are millions of sperms and that one specific one fertilized and made our LO. It's just so amazing and marvelous. I stare at my LO sometimes with such wonderment. If any of the other 999,999 sperms fertilized, we would've had a totally different child and I can't imagine having any one else but him. Life is truly amazing.

I believe everything happens for a reason, but it is really cool to think that we got the one that we did!

Definitely. We got pregnant on our 2nd month of trying and I always think that I am glad we didn't get pregnant on the first try because we would have ended up with a completely different kid. But of course that is silly because we would have thought that 1st kid was super great, too. But since you ask, yes I have the same thoughts!

We are putting off ttc for the time being...and I often wonder if we tried now and were successful what that child would be like and how that would compare to any future children we might have.

I do. I miscarried before my lo so I always wonder what my first baby would have been like. But of course if I never miscarried I wouldn't have my lo... but I do feel like everything happens for a reason.

Charlie and Olive are awesome, and I'm so grateful that we have these two kids.

But I think about how much random things had to happen in order for us to conceive these two kids at the exact moment that we did... and the sheer randomness of life overwhelms me.

I love our kids so much, and their existence is so random. I struggle with that one sometimes. I would like to think that we are fated to have the kids that we have, but the reality is that there is a huge dose of chance in there.

Do you ever think about how different your life would be if you had a different child?
