We generally pay her an extra hour, and if we run late, we tip it up even more. So a waitress that is otherwise making 2.13 an hour. Or a hairstylist that is renting their chair in a salon.</p> <p>But for a babysitter, who is charging a fixed rate per hour and is keeping the whole amount? No, no "tip".
