I never have but from now on I will if we are getting close to bedtime. We had a couple of bad nights bc of long late naps. Mornings I let her sleep.

At that age I woke her after 3 hours bc I wanted to nurse her! Those 3 hour naps were so rare though...

I never did, my sister does because she says it messes with her LO's sleep but DD will usually go to sleep around the same time

Not at that age. I would only wake him up if it had been more than 4 hours between feedings.

The only time I wake her is if it's after 5:00pm since she goes to bed at 7:30. Otherwise, no way!

at that age, i did wake her if it was more than 3:30 hours since her last feeding. i think i did that until 3 months? but it was very rare that it went that long!

Not unless it was cutting it close to her usual bedtime. However, DD loves to sleep, and would probably be fine if she had an hour between her last nap, and her full, eight hours of nighttime sleep. I wish I had her affinity for shut-eye. ;)

Not unless it was evening, I figured if she was sleeping that long she needed it for a reason (and we never had issues with he waking up at night.) She loved her sleep and still does at a year!

Yes, but only if it's going to make bedtime difficult. Otherwise I say let them sleep. Leaving them be is the best way for us to understand their needs and patterns.

I almost always woke Xander up after 2 hours. We followed EASY, so I would just wake him and immediately feed him and then if he wanted to go back to sleep, I let him!

Now that he's older (7.5 months), I'm not worried about him getting days and nights mixed up, so if he takes a long nap, I let him be. But I wake him if it's getting close to dinner just to keep him on his bedtime routine.

If it was past 5:30pm I might wake him...otherwise, I let him sleep! Especially at such a young age, she's probably in a growth spurt or something!

When LO is taking an especially long nap, do you ever wake them up to keep them from mixing up their days/nights?

DD is 8 weeks and has been sleeping for a few hours (3 so far) which is really unlike her. She usually is a horrible napper getting MAYBE 20 minutes at a time when I am not carrying her around. Now, I am in no shape, way or form complaining. It has been wonderful! I got a short nap, a shower, cleaned the kitchen, snuggled with my dogs who I know have been missing me, made lunch and now am on here. Uh Mazing! But I almost feel like I shouldn't let her sleep too much longer so that she wont have issues sleeping tonight.
