I have to make different stuff every day because LO hates leftovers! I was like that too as a kid but sometimes it is such a pain!

We offer DD a variety but that is pretty much because DH has always been adamant that we not create a picky eater and that DD eats what we eat. I rotate through a set of meals for dinner and lunches are usually leftovers. I struggle a little more with breakfast for DD and so those tend to be the same things again and again. Funny thing with DD is that she might eat something great at dinner but not eat it at all when presented it for lunch (and vice versa).

I offer the same things over and over again, but I introduce new items a couple times a week.
She's FINALLY started to eat more and has been open to trying new foods too!

I'm curious, @Mrs. Bee, do you have a post (or could you make one) about how you introduced Charlie and Olive to a variety of foods? I'm worried about my kids being picky eaters and I think one way you can help avoid it is by introducing a variety of different foods early. I'm just curious how you went about it and how it went over. You always seem to pack Charlie such a variety of things, I'm always impressed! I want to do the same with my kids, but when do you start?

I try, but we repeat a lot of the same meals because we know what our son will and won't eat. We don't do leftovers or reheating, so all of our food is freshly cooked, which I don't mind.

I try to do a variety of foods, but we do tend to fall back on DD's favorites (cheese and fruit) quite a bit.

I'm not much for variety, but I still try to give her some variety. I don't eat a lot of fruits and veggies but my LO loves them so I give her lots of different foods then what I eat, she's a much healthier eater than I am!

I think I project my eating habits onto Charlie and Olive. Because I don't like eating the same thing, I make something new every day and offer them a lot of variety. It turns out to be a lot of work for me, even though I batch cook/freeze/reheat a lot of food.

I try to give a protein, vegetable and fruit every day. I can cheat with the fruit since it's easy, but I tend to make a new protein and vegetable pretty much every day. For breakfast it's always something bread related -- bagel, pancakes, french toast, quesadillas, toast, etc.

Do you tend to cook the same things over and over, or do you offer a lot of variety to your LO? Can you eat the same things over and over again, or do you like a lot of variety in your food?
