She loves it. We ate Mexican food and she wanted to dip her chip. Next thing we know she's trying to drink the salsa.

Funny thing is, when I was pregnant with LMW I wanted some spicy things! I mixed super spicy hot pepper paste (gochujang) into my bi bim bap! Maybe LMW will be a spice lover like Wagon Sr. :)

@mrs. wagon: me too!! Ordered the kids chicken quesadilla 2x and they hated it! DS is better than DD, but really, it's too spicy to be called mild!! For that reason we eat qdoba for the kids, even though I don't really like it.

Not intentionally. M will ask to try certain foods and we let her.
I ate a ton of super spicy foods while pregnant and while nursing. She doesn't love it, but she doesn't hate spicy either.

For some reason I just had to learn the lesson for the THIRD time that even if you order everything mild, Chipotle is RIDICULOUSLY spicy. Even Wagon Sr. who LOVES spice (the hotter the better, it's not really spicy unless he's crying and sweating) tasted it and got angry that they expect kids to eat food that spicy. This is the third time I've sworn off of Chipotle... why don't I ever learn my lesson??

I'm eating a McDonald's cheeseburger now :D

He did say "we have to expose him to spicy things at some point" but I just don't believe in making a kid (who is already picky about food!) eat food that hurts him. He literally started squeaking and scratching the rice off of his tongue.

I'm all for feeding a kid spicy things if they like it, but as a person who can't take spice, I don't think I will force my kids to get used to spice. My parents tried for 25 years and never succeeded!
