Right now I'm pregnant, so if I eff up dinner I usually respond by bursting into tears. Very rational response, I know. lol

@Mrs. Sunshine: I burned carrots. Like, c'mon! I have trouble with rice too, and quinoa.

He ate some of the carrots, but didn't finish them, I notice...

@Mrs. Sunshine: Sometimes and it's the worst feeling! :( He works really hard at a physically demanding job so I know he's usually starving for dinner. He's been helping with shopping and cooking a lot more lately so I feel like it happens less now.

Also, I'm TOTALLY with you on the part about forgetting what I like. I'm always trying new recipes and forget past stuff we've liked all the time!

We've been trying to eat clean too, but thankfully dh isn't picky at all.

I do feel bad, and continuously apologize and ask for reassurance. I hate that! He's doing a diet right now (doing awesome I might add!) and so I'm really trying to create delicious things while still following his meal plan. I'm so used to succeeding that when I can tell he doesn't love something I feel terrible.

@stine_ciro: my DH usually eats it as well but there are so many things he hasn't tried so we don't know if he likes it or not & other times he doesn't even notice when something he claims he doesn't like is in a meal so I'm always confused as to what would be yummy to him because I like nearly everything! lol we definitely have more good meals that not so good ones but I still feel bad about it every time

I always feel bad for DH when dinner only comes out so/so. I've been eating clean for over two months so all the dinners I cook are clean as well. 85% of them are delicious but DH is extremely picky & not a fan of the majority of veggies so I struggle finding recipes & keeping variety. (Maybe I try too much variety, I often forget what meals we like because I try to keep it changed up). For some reason I always feel guilty when dinner just doesn't hit the spot, even when it's not my fault! lol
