2.5-3.5 and a little beyond has been rough on us too, as well as newborn for lo1. Honestly I recently started working and I feel like it saves me, which sounds sort of terrible. Lo2 I feel the mom guilt about other things like not seeing him as much as I did lo1 (I stayed at home with her) and just him not getting as much attention.

Probably 0-6 months. Just the shock of that newborn stage, feeling frustrated with breastfeeding/pumping, feeling frustrated with all the MOTN wakings, etc. I love love love my baby but it did take me a while to really feel a bond b/c I just felt like some milk cow that couldn't sleep!

It's been different for each kid!

For DS1, I didn't feel very good at 0-12 months but then loved until age 2.5. 2.5-3.5 was very difficult for me again, but also had a new baby. 3.5+ has been awesome!

DS2, I loved the baby stage and felt so much more confident as a parent. 12m+ has been very challenging because DS2 is a very daring and wild toddler and it's hard to keep my eye on him at all times.

I feel like a worse parent during the stages that I found the most difficult (infancy and age 3).

Physical touch is not my love language whatsoever and I really struggled with how much touching was necessary during the infant stage, and felt like a cruddy parent sometimes because I didn't want to always be touching (which is pretty much nursing in a nutshell at the beginning, constant touching! Plus a baby wants/needs to be held a lot)

During age 3 I seem to lose my temper and just feel catty in general when my LO is having a bad attitude. I feel guilty for not being more mature and just keeping my head on straight when LO is in a bad mood. I feel like I'm not a great parent at this stage.

Ages 1 and 2 were easier and I felt like I had the parenting thing down and was doing a pretty good job of it. 3 has totally thrown me for a loop :)
