And I'm also amazed by how little people know about how to get pregnant sometimes. My own mom, who I consider very intelligent, had some weird comments to me about fertility. Even after knowing I was taking fertility drugs and seeing a specialist, she said my due date wasn't right because I had long cycles. Um yes Mom, we know exactly when I ovulated. It truly shocks me how little people know about TTC, and how lucky they are to not have to know it. But I came here from wedding bee, and there are just SO many threads started there about TTC/being pregnant that just boggles my mind... like, can I get pregnant if I had sex 5 dpo, or we're going to start TTC on Nov 1st, but I should ovulate Nov 15, when should we BD? Part of my job is benefits advising and whenever someone comes to me with a question about fertility coverage (you would be surprised by how many!), I always feel like I give way more information than I need to. I know about medications and what to expect at monitoring appointments. I've research protocols and success rates. I a lot about embryos and transfers. </p> <p>I wish I didn't have to know so much about IVF! </p>
