LO is 17 mo and DH handles all morning tasks - getting her up, fed and off to day care. I leave before she even wakes up (which is sad for me). I do pick up and LO and I hang out for an hour or so at home until DH finishing working - he is a WAHP. Chores are split up pretty evenly. We do have a cleaning lady every other week. Some days are better than others. Today will not be a very productive day because my 10 month old woke at 5am and has been very clingy and hanging off my legs which makes it difficult to get anything done. Also I was so tired that I chose to nap during his first nap and that's usually when I do a workout video, shower, and pick up a bit if i have time. I usually try to break up tasks and do a few things here and there rather than spend the day deep cleaning (which wouldn't even be possible). I do my food shopping and run errands with DS and when my husband gets home from work (I work PT) he's usually a huge help. My DH works a shift schedule which includes a week of nights so for 2 out of 3 weeks he can't help much. My saving grace is my mom who helps out a ton! I just got cleared to exercise but with what energy will I do that? Thank GOD we have an awesome family member who comes to our house to watch my LO, and also helps with cooking and cleaning. </p> <p>I don't know how two WOHM full-time parents are supposed to get everything done. I believe it takes somebody (whether a parent, a nanny, cleaning service, etc...) being home to get everything done that needs to be done to run a household. No.</p> <p>We don't have kids but I've been working like crazy and my job is very mentally draining, when I get home all I want to do is sleep. I leave the house just after 6am and haven't been getting home until after 6pm. I usually have to grocery shop almost every day, feed &amp; walk the dogs, clean, get things ready for the next day. By the time this is all done it's time for bed. I've been spending all day Saturday running errands so Sunday is really my only down day and that usually ends up being busy too. I miss yoga, the gym and just relaxing! Lo is 6 weeks old and I'm home alone with her all day. I also end up caring for her mostly alone nights and weekends, and I always do overnights alone. Dh does take her for 1-2 hrs in the morning so I can pump and shower, and sometimes sleep an extra hour if we have time for that. I also do most if the dishes and laundry and tidying up. So I sort of feel like I'm doing everything (not really bc my husband is unhelpful but bc he is gone a lot). But on the other hand, he works full time and I'm unemployed right now. So I feel like I really should be responsible for most if the home stuff and child care.
