We have a four bedroom home, so all our LOs have their own bedrooms. We also have a game room upstairs, and a downstairs "flex" room, that we use as a game room. We are expecting LO#4 in December, so when we move again (which is the nature of DH's job) we will hopefully find a five bedroom home. Other than that it is a good size home!

We have 4 bedrooms so LO and the baby in my belly each get their own bedroom and we still have a dedicated guest room (a necessity for us because all family is a plane ride away). Downstairs we have a dedicated play room (was technically a formal living room but we aren't that fancy) and we have a full office off the foyer. And then upstairs we have a huge bonus room which is half man cave half kid toys so we spend a lot of time all hanging out in there on the weekends. We also have a great room that is open to the kitchen where we entertain and that room is a toy free zone. I told my husband if we ever feel like we are outgrowing this house we have a serious problem.

we live in a 3 bedroom apartment.

olive's room barely fits an almost twin size bed (mattress on floor), and a tall skinny wardrobe and that's it. She will definitely need a bigger room as she gets older, but it is perfectly fine for now. the layout of our apartment is pretty great - open living room/kitchen and very spacious (for ny standards). but both kids rooms are definitely on the small side.

in an ideal world we'd have a 4 bedroom for an office!

I want a third bedroom. Dd is in bed with me, DS and DH usually sleep together. It works for us but it's ridiculous! I don't want my kids sleeping with us forever. We're talking about adding onto our home.

No way. We live in 915 square feet, and it is TIGHT. There is no extra space, and it's just the three of us. I can't imagine adding another one here. We're moving, and we've been looking at 1600-1800 square feet/3-4 bedrooms, and that seems to be the sweet spot for me. I definitely want a playroom!

Our house is a good size and will grow with the kids as they get older.
I thought the house would be too big and difficult for me to maintain without help, but so far so good!

I think so? We have a 4 bdrm house and LO has her own room, Baby will have her own room, and we will still have a room that is now the office/guest bedroom. We also have a semi-enclosed formal dining room downstairs that we turned into a playroom.

We eventually want three kids though.....so they will either have to share or we will have to get rid of the office/guest room.....or get a bigger house!

@DillonLion: our girl's room has changed a ton since she arrived. i'm a sahm and i always have assumed that because i have the time to, i like to rearrange and paint and throw out and replace items that fit what we are feeling. our home changes constantly! she also has a playroom so i am pretty content with the amount of space we are dealing with. our attic is unfinished and is the only place in the house i wish was different in that way but we rent.

We have 2 LO's, each LO has their own room plus we have a playroom. However, LO2 has such a small room that we need the playroom for play space. I'm happy with what we've got though!

I would love a third bedroom, since we are about to have two kids. But it just isn't going to happen in our current neighborhood and I don't think we're ready to move yet.

We need more space. We are in a two bed two bath condo. The open living room / kitchen is great for keeping an eye on the baby while doing other things, and like @lamariniere: said, the layout is more important that sq feet or number of rooms. But we don't have anyplace for guests and our families are far, so that sucks, and now we are having a second and are terrified of them sharing a room and how that's going to work!

But we knew when we bought this place that these things would be an issue. It still made sense for us and we will just make it work until we are ready to move out of the city, probably.

We have 4 bedrooms and will have 3 kids who will eventually get their own rooms. LO 1 &2 are sharing right now and I use a room as an office. We might move to a larger house in 5-10 years if my FIL moves in with us.

We have 2 LOs and a 3 bedroom apartment. My LOs mostly play in the living room. I think our apartment is a great fit for us now, and in any case we have no plans to move apartments as long as we stay in our current city. I think layout is more important than total space, and I love our layout. Even if we stayed here long term, I don't think we would outgrow it. Other than toys, we don't have a lot of stuff and I tend to get rid of things as soon as we don't need them anymore so that our smallish space doesn't feel cramped.

We're in like 850 square feet and it's perfect for the three of us and two cats. We left 650 square feet last year because we thought it was too small but honestly, we could have made that work too. The bigger space is annoying to keep clean...I feel like it was a lot easier to clean our old place.

I would love an extra room for a guest room but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

LOs room has remained largely unchanged since we set it up before she was born (now aged 2.5)

We don't have any additional playroom, but we all hang out together in our one family room and participate in different activities (reading, paying bills, coloring, etc.), or the same one (like watching TV).

Overall this works great for us. We aren't planning on more children so we still have one additional room that we use for guests but could be made more multi-purpose if we wanted.

I wouldn't mind one more room so that we could each have a place to "go" and relax that isn't a bedroom, but overall we're satisfied.

Do you feel like LO has enough space? Do you feel like where you currently live is sufficient for your needs? Do you think you might outgrow your house? Anyone have too much space and wish they had less to keep up?
