We do coloring, play dough, mini art projects, mini baking projects (disaster!) and so on; anything to break up the day. Every time I see snow/ ice in the forecast it means stuck in the house sometimes for days. We are in NJ so were getting an insane amount of bad weather and just COLD temps. I keep thinking " you're lucky to be a SAHM and spend time with DD" but I find myself looking at the clock waiting for her nap/ bedtime on certain days and I feel such mommy guilt! I do get bored, like, Oh, let's play in your jumperoo, let's sit in this part of the living room and play with Sophie... back to the other part of the living room.... is it nap time? But at 6 months, I don't actually think she is bored, it's just me. We have a weekly play date with other moms and babies that we (I) really make a point to get to, and we go out for walks or to visit our friend nearby whenever the weather is not too freezing or raining. And I invent errands, like, oh, we NEED to walk up to CVS for.... seltzer. Yes, we need seltzer. And we make lots of small grocery runs. We're in warmer weather now so we don't have snow to worry about anymore. Just lots of rain, especially in Feb. I try to take my youngest out a few times a week just so he can socialize a bit. I don't think he gets bored though. I know that's more difficult in places with harsh winters though (in central CA its been pretty mild).</p> <p>Maybe if you do a theme with your activities..like in Mrs. Lion's posts- January was winter themed, February was bodies/family/valentines day. I've been doing red themed and valentines day crafts/activities with E and its been fun! We've been having more screen time than usual and its depressing! We've been doing the same with painting, coloring and play-doh but those things only last for so long. I've been finding myself getting bored, so I imagine LO is getting bored as well. I try and keep busy with painting, coloring, play-doh, she will help me with chores (putting clothes in and out of the basket is entertaining!), we will watch a show here and there, play in her playroom, or go up to her room for a change of scenery etc. I guess I'm just feeling bored and itching to take walks to the park, play in the sand and explore the outdoors. </p> <p>If you stay home, do you ever feel like your days are repetitive or boring? How do you get out of that rut? </p>
