I'm more annoyed that I can't totally understand him and his toddler language. Also, his tantrums come from a place of toddler independence. It's more of a "hey, I can do this and not need you, stop cramping my style woman!"place than anything.

No I never feel offended.... I just get frustrated, but seldom mad.

I remember 1 bee (I don't remember who, sorry!) told me that babies and toddlers didn't throw tantrums or behave poorly to get you. They really didn't. They did it because they are having a hard time. I always feel better when I remind myself that.

A friend of mine also told me that babies and kids are born to please their parents. That is their survival instinct. So they are not trying to make you feel miserable. They can't help it....

If you think about it they have the right.... they are so tiny, they can't communicate fluently what they need, and they just learned to use their limbs in a more efficient manner. They can't even get what they want when they want it (eg. the cup that is not within reach when they are thirsty). Would you throw a tantrum if you are in their shoes? hehe

Hugs and hang in there mommy!

I also get offended when I spent alllll day playing with my son, having SO MUCH fun with him, feeding him yummy snacks. And then daddy comes home and all of a sudden he's all about team daddy....

I try not to get offended, but it's really hard if I'm slaving away in the kitchen and my food isn't good enough. Pshh... does he not realize how lucky he is? All I ate was rice when I was a kid (hehe this is what I tell him but not exactly 100% true), but then he would probably like to eat rice all day long...

I'm offended lately because she won't let me anywhere near her. If I even try to talk to her or sit within 3 ft of her, she flips out, screaming "NOOOO" :-( Not sure what I did wrong...

It is annoying when you spend a lot of time cooking and they won't eat it! But I guess I am not offended.

I usually just stand there and wait for her to get over herself. She usually calms down because of my lack of reaction or enthusiasm over her theatrics.

Sometimes when my toddler throws a tantrum, I feel so offended. As if, like, hello kid, I worked so hard to prepare this meal for you so why are you throwing a fit because you wanted me to put your bowl two inches closer to you?

Daaang. To get over my feelings, I just hug her tight and repeat, "You're two...You're two...This is normal. This will end."

SIGH.
