I remember him being more active before contractions started, but I was induced, so I didn't enter the hospital in active labor. I remember the nurse saying that he was active when she checked his vital, trying to move the monitor and getting the hiccups etc.

I didn't. Although it's possible that I just wasn't focused on that because I was trying to control my breathing and get through each contraction. And once the epidural was administered I was focused on pushing. There was really no time to even acknowledge movement.

This is so interesting! I never really thought about it, but it must be kind of weird to go from feeling the baby move all the time to all of the sudden not feeling anything (but pain).

On a different note - I love feeling the baby move, except during two "activities". Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

I was at a delivery recently, where after each contraction the baby would "push back" really hard with its legs, we could see her whole belly stretch out after each contraction. It was the most I have ever seen a baby react to the labour!

I don't remember feeling her move (especially once I got the epidural), but I know she did because I could hear her moving on the monitor.

Yup, I did. I remember one particular rolling sensation when he did a large progress. I could also feel him in the canal, because I couldn't get into a decent position on my side.

I don't remember. I had an epidural so I don't think I was feeling much of anything, other than pressure.

Just curious, for those who had a vaginal birth, as the baby moves from womb through the cervix and then birth canal do you still feel it moving like you did during pregnancy?
