When lo was littler I would put her down two hours after her last wake up..... depending on her sleepy cues. But she was usually tired by then.

Now that she's older (14 months) we have more of a solid nap schedule and try to do nap time at 1:30.

We had a general nap schedule once I went back to work when V was 12 weeks. She'd either wake up or we would wake her up at 630 and she would be at grandmas by 730 in time for a bottle then her first nap. She would wake up around 10, nap 11-2ish, then her last nap from 3-430ish. Around 5.5 months she was able to stay up for about 2 hours which reduced her naps to 830-1030, 1230-230, then a catnap 430-5 with bedtime at 7.

As a side note, my DD loves her sleep in that if she misses a nap she is CRANKY! So I was and still am very protective of her sleep.

We don't have an exact by the clock schedule but the times between wakeup, naps and bedtime is the same everyday. And we have feeding/sleeping routines that we follow everyday. I can't control the lengths of his naps (unfortunately!) and bedtime and wakeup vary by an hour or so. Everyone says a schedule is more obtainable once your LO has transitioned to 2 solid naps a day.

We don't but I'm starting to wonder if maybe we should. LO usually wakes up around 7-7:30 and I bring her back to bed with me until around 8:30-9:00 (I usually have to wake her up because I don't want her to sleep too late). The rest of the day we generally just watch for her sleepy cues, and put her down to nap based on that. She only naps for 30-45 minutes at a time though, with an occasional rare 1+ hour nap thrown in the mix here and there. She usually takes 3-4 naps a day, and bedtime is at 7, although on the nights I work, one of her grandmas puts her to sleep and she often winds up being up as late as 9:00 some nights :/ because sometimes they have a hard time getting her to sleep. I'm wondering if it'd help if we started a nap schedule? What do you do? And how do you start implementing a nap schedule?
