If it is a book I've borrowed from a friend I do FORCE myself so that I can at least tell them I finished it. There have been a few books I've read to completion because I couldn't believe how awful they were and there MUST be some redeeming quality at the end (there hasn't been yet). </p> <p>The books I don't finish tend to be dry and I just get bored even though it's a topic I thoroughly enjoy.</p> <p>ETA: I think part of my reason for finishing books even if I don't like them is that I don't like to admit that I didn't finish a book.
