I freeze them unless I know they're going to be consumed within the next 2 days. I leave them out in the fridge to defrost for at least 24 hours - sometimes more if they've been sitting in our deep freezer. This way I can buy the big bag of chicken breasts or frozen oxtail and use as necessary.

For beef (to be used in stews) I usually soak them in water overnight to clean out the blood so I kill 2 birds with 1 stone by tossing the frozen oxtail/brisket/etc in water overnight.

@Adira: we do the same thing!

I only shop every other week though- so I meal plan for 2 weeks at a time. Usually by the end of the last week we are scraping crazy meals together! ;-)

I freeze 90% of the meat we buy. It's super convenient and it doesn't change the taste/quality. We mostly eat and freeze: bacon, pork loin, all types of chicken, ground turkey, and ground beef. This way I can take advantage of what's on sale or what's available at the farmers market that week. All of our ground beef and chicken is organic bought. I'd by the bacon and pork loin organic but have a hard time finding any organic options.

We freeze meat all the time. It is a great way to take advantage of sales or buy in bulk at our Farmer's Market or Costco. I just put in in individual meal portions in freezer bags and, when I'm ready to use it, throw it in the fridge in the morning to thaw.

If something is a really good deal but isn't on the menu for the week, I sometimes buy and freeze. Or my one store ALWAYS has their ground meat with a one-day sell-by date so I will freeze it, or even pre-cook it and freeze it (my favorite for ground beef).

We always freeze our meats, unless we're going to use them in the next day or so. I just try to plan our week slightly in advance - hamburg and steak will last us two meals, while chicken usually only lasts one. So if we're having hamburgers on Monday, I'll pull out steak or chicken from the freezer that day to be ready for Wednesday. Leftover hamburg is used in pasta sauce for Tuesday. Wednesday we'll have whatever I thawed and I'll pull out another meat for Friday.

No, but I cook then freeze. This week, for example, chicken breasts were on sale and my husband came home with a package of 8 of them. 2 became Sunday dinner and Monday lunch, the remaining 6 I cooked into dinners each of curry and maple apple chicken.

We always freeze meat when we buy it. Generally we portion it out for meals then freeze. We have a deep freeze (which currently my freezer stash is taking up), an upright freezer and two fridge freezers to store frozen things in.
We stop at the store if we want meat that's not frozen for dinner (ie we didn't pull any the night before or need a faster meal). We shop for groceries at least 2 or 3 times a week. It seems we always need something.

We buy a quarter beef once a year and also stock up on Amish chicken when it is on sale. The beef all goes in the freezer straight from the butcher and the chicken gets frozen in gallon sized freezer Ziplocs with a marinade of some sort. On Sundays I look to see what is in the freezer and devise a loose plan for the week.

I freeze if I'm not going to use it in the next 2 days. I don't like meat sitting in the fridge for longer than that. I'm a wishy-washy meal planner, but I mostly buy the same meats and have a few dishes different dishes I can make (or look for something new occasionally).

When I'm ready to use meat in the freezer, I just take it out in the morning before work and put it in the freezer. If it's not completely frozen I just set it on the counter while I'm preparing the rest of dinner.

I feel like freezing is better because I can buy family packs for a discount or stock up on sales and just leave it in the freezer. For family packs, I just halve it, and stick it in freezer bags.

I like to buy the boneless skinless chicken breast when it's on sale. Since it's just two of us, I often freeze it because we can't eat it all. I use these Ziploc Perfect Portion freezer bags to wrap each piece on its own:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007PJ4FEQ?pc_redir=1412320578&robot_redir=1

Then I place them all in a larger Ziploc freezer bag with the date written in it to be frozen.

This way, I can remove just what we need when we need it!

Most meats last a week in their original packaging I think? I shop Monday mornings and we only cook Mon-Fri. I am usually more concerned about which veggies will go bad first and plan meals around that, and save stuff for pasta later in the week. I just freeze stuff if I'm not going to use it by it's use/freeze date.

We only purchase meat every 2-4 weeks since we have a deep freezer and we like buying in bulk since it's cheaper. We pretty much freeze all the meat we buy unless I know I want to cook it that day or the next.
