No, unless I go to my Granny's house! Homemade biscuits, fried squash and fried okra, and all the pie/cobbler/ice cream you can stand!

All. The. Time. I think at this point, it's just a known (semi-accepted!) fact that it'll happen. Nothing like a vacation to justify eating a lot!

Yep, I'm definitely up a couple pounds from my 4-day school conference. I stayed with my dad and he made prime rib, baked alaska.. omg.. so much good food! And of course I was too tired after 8 hours of class to do any walking.. oh well!!

Agreed, it depends... If my vacation is a trip home to visit family I will definitely gain weight, largely because I want to indulge in as much of my mom's, MIL's and grandparents cooking as possible... When we go away on holidays, I usually stay the same or lose because of all the walking/swimming, etc. I'm pretty sure I climbed every structure in Paris and Florence when we went away in July.

Depends on the place, I ate and ate and ate on our honeymoon (resort food was AMAZING) but ended up losing weight beause I ate healthy (fresh fruit, fish, ect!) because it was all so fresh.

hehe yes. We always eat more than we exert energy on vacation. Even when we were in Germany we were walking non stop for 12hrs plus we still gained back the weight we lost in 3 countries prior! haha

@autumnlove: especially when I go home! My mom won't stop feeding me and my brother over orders when we go out to eat! And of course we scarf it all down because it's all soooo good!

Yes! But it usually comes off again pretty soon after I get home.

it depends! if it's internationally, or a public transport heavy place like NYC then i usually lose weight from all the sightseeing and walking... but if it's a place like hawaii then yes!

Always! I tend to overindulge with food and drinks and usually put on a good 5 pounds by the time we get back home. Luckily it comes off within a week or two of getting back into a normal routine.

Ha! Depends where I am. I think I gained in Hawaii (lots of beach lounging), but I lost in NYC (walked everywhere, all day long).
