I work for a decently sized company but they're pretty old school. My boss gives us all $50 to Binny's (local liquor store) and his direct reports pool together our money to get him a gc somewhere. We usually give $20 each. Then I get each of my direct reports a gc (usually to Target) for about $20 each. They have normally put $10 into a pot and then buy me something with that.</p> <p>@Mrs. Champagne: Last year I was just pregnant and my boss asked me if I still wanted the gc to the liquor store. They do a holiday party and smaller office lunches, but no real gift giving.
