I've been a student for the past 6 years, and he was considered a FT student this year til November when he got his license! We also have LO this year. One year DH owed around $500 and he was so pissed, so he changed deductions to take the max out, so that we get a return every year. It seriously irritates me because we could have more money in our bank account each month instead of waiting until the end of the year, and it would make things a lot better for us. He just doesn't seem to see it that way....</p> <p>On another note, getting our large return this year will allow us to pay off ALL of our credit card debt!! When you get a return, you have allowed the government to take more taxes ( a loan) out of your check when you get paid, thus, by getting a return you get the money back you owed them. When you owe, typically less gets taken out each check.
