I remember throwing up once in like 10 years. I have a puke phobia so I purposely stay away from people I know that are sick, clean like crazy, etc. But now that our son is here, we've been averaging 1-2 bugs each year. Two in the last MONTH (and I'm 34 weeks pregnant, so fun) And, my kids aren't even in daycare! My youngest manage to pick up the last two, and I have no idea where they came from. </p> <p>Normally, we get about two a year. Once in the spring and once in fall. I hate throwing up. HATE IT. We also have a spray bottle of bleach that we use religiously, and are avid hand washers but the kids always seem to pick it up and spread it to us. I'm a vomit phobe so I wash my hands dozens of times a day and really concentrate on not touching my face/mouth. I have a strong bleach solution in a spray bottle (bleach is the only thing that kills norovirus - hand sanitiser doesn't touch it) and regularly wipe down toilets, door knobs, and surfaces that are regularly touched. My son has had a stomach virus this year and both my husband and I caught it, so all my paranoia and ocd behaviour was for nought!! He's only 20 months so we shall see if this is a yearly event. Our "normal" time to get it is right around Christmas...likely because we are around so many people in confined areas? Who knows. I dread it though because it literally happens every.single.year. We did start taking vitamins the past few months though, so lets hope that helps...at least a little bit! </p>
