But with most people, I just ignore and vent later. Now, if it's my family, I have no problem being a bit snarky because I feel comfortable enough letting them know how I feel. There are a couple of things that I do pitch a fit about when someone chimes in and I just firmly explain that I do it this way and shut them down. When he was small, he was pretty fussy and had reflux. FIL thought we should jut let him cry because he was "so colicky". He also once told me to get some sleep because I looked tired.
