Which I've had for 5 years. I know for sure I was tested while pregnant for STD's and HIV, which is why I was comfortable forgoeing the eye ointment whe LO was born. We both got tested, called Peace of Mind, before we became intimate. I didn't question in because I didn't notice until after it had been done twice, but I was like why in the world... DH is my only (I'm not his though) but we've been together for almost 10 years at this point. I will have whatever they recommend during pregnancy done, though. I also opted out of the Gardisal HPV vaccine-- I was 26 when it came out, which was within the age recommendations, but DH and I had been together for years and planning to eventually get married, so it seems unnecessary. I had the routine tests done when I was pregnant but I would have opted out if I had the choice because I didn't feel they were necessary. There are certain stds that can be dormant for years before they actually show up on a screening, like HPV & HIV. DH & I we not saints before we met... I mean, I've been with my husband for 5 years but I thought what IF it was possible that I had it from before him and just didn't know yet. I am such a Drama Queen!!!! Utterly ridiculous! I've been married for almost 8 years and in a relationship for almost a decade... and got tested for everything my last physical (a year ago). Plus Mrs. Bee got tested for everything around the same time, when she was pregnant with Olive. So I didn't get the tests redone. When the doctor asked me the question, I thought, "Oh that would make a good boards thread!" Sad but true. So here goes. Do you get tested for STDs when you get a physical?
