I was pregnant during the first H1N1 outbreak where pregnant women were hit really hard. I definitely got my vaccine! It is highly, highly effective, though not perfectly so. I used to think that's long as you were young & fairly healthy that you should just let your body fight it off- then I got that awful swine flu a couple years ago. But at my yearly physical last Oct when I mentioned to my primary care doctor that I was going to TTC she highly suggested I get the shot.
