Fast food I just get the happy meal bc it's usually an on the go type thing and it has milk and fruit and a toy to keep him happy. But we didn't start doing that until he was at least 18 months? We have actually managed to hide the toys from them (or, rather, just not got it out of the bag), so they don't even know that they come with them! Ha. She doesn't need the little toy. At restaurants we are all over the place. Sometimes she gets a kids meal, sometimes she gets a meal from the regular menu, sometimes she shares with one of us, sometimes we get two entrees and an appetizer and we all share. It depends on the options on the menu and DD's mood. We don't eat fast food a lot, but as a treat the girls like to get Happy Meals from McDonalds. I will usually give into them since it's not a frequent thing. If we go to a regular restaurant we don't typically order for them off the kids menu, we just have them share with us or they share something together.
