I give the vitamin D + omega 3 gummy bear supplement, because I've read that kids are most lacking in vitamin D and the omegas cant hurt.

My ped does not recommend one unless you have serious nutritional concerns, but does recommend a Vitamin D supplement from birth.

I am not a big believer in vitamins, so I don't give DD one. I do give her the Vitamin D because I don't want her to get a lot of sun.

No, because my 16 mo. old eats plenty of veggies, fruits, meats, grains, and a variety of healthy foods. But if he wasn't eating enough of those, I certainly would. As long as a toddler is getting enough from food, I don't believe it is necessary, but if your lo is only eating carbs and yogurt, I would definitely give a daily multivitamin for sure.

We were giving LO 1/2 of a chewable vitamin, per the NP's rec at his 15 month appointment but stopped when his pediatrician told us he didn't need it at his 18 month appointment. He told us so long as he is eating meat in some form he doesn't need a vitamin. I guess the NP thought he didn't eat any because I told her we don't eat red meat....

She is on a liquid multi vitamin + iron per ped order for low iron.

I didn't think chewable / tablet vitamins are recommended for under 2?

Lorelei is almost 23 months and takes these. So does Ellie, who is 7: http://www.gardenoflife.com/Products-for-Life/Vitamin-Code/Multivitamin-Formulas/Kids-Formula.aspx Both girls take them enthusiastically. They are not gummy, but are chewable. I find them to have a decent taste (yes, I have tried them ;) ).

We've had less luck with omega supplements Ellie will sometimes take/sometimes refuse pretty much all brands we've tried, and Lorelei just flat-out will not eat them. My personal favorite are these, which I referred to as "Omega candy" when neither girl would take them and I ate the whole jar (not in one sitting, but man, were they tasty!): http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/nordic-naturals-nordic-omega-3-fishies-30-gummies/ye-1034?sourceType=sc&source=FG&adGroup=40-60&keyword=YE-1034&cm_mmc=Google+Shopping-_-Product+Listing+Ads-_-40-60-_-YE-1034&gclid=CNbJ_6Wp17wCFSISMwodMQ4AvA&gclsrc=aw.ds#.UwQu67SE4fw
We also do this probiotic for both girls: http://www.gardenoflife.com/Products-for-Life/RAW-Digestion/RAW-Probiotics-Kids.aspx We mix with a smoothie or yogurt or some other food and they take it easily. Ellie will sometimes eat the powder alone off a spoon. It also has a pleasant taste.

We do the Flinstone complete gummies. I'd love to get away from gummies (for the dental issues) or try giving them just before she brushes. Currently she takes her vitamin just before we head out the door to school in the morning.

They are sugar free, which is good since LO isn't a very good teeth brusher (gummies can get stuck easily between teeth and cause cavities).

LO loves them, she calls them "mee-mee's" (why?) and she can always be bribed with mee-mee's.

I get them at a local health food store.

DD's eating habits have seriously gone down the tubes. She basically will only eat yogurt and carbs. I'm worried that she's not getting enough nutrients during the day and am thinking about giving her a multi-vitamin. She's 21 months. Do you give your LO a vitamin? Any recommendations?
