We schedule day dates sometimes though, where we'll both take PTO and go watch a movie and eat lunch together! We have one planned for this Friday! We were terrible about date nights during DD's first year, so we made a new year's promise to ourselves that we would find a regular babysitter. Usually when we have a babysitter its due to a wedding, party, ect. Very rarely is it just the two of us, we need to be better about making time for just us too. Fall/Winter we usually go out most Saturday nights, sometimes with friends sometimes just us. We'd rather hang out at home in our sweats, watch a movie and eat some cookies than go to a restaurant and pay for dinner + drinks. (Also, we're obviously cheap... haha). We count any kind of eating out as date time (day or night) since mostly we eat at cheap/casual places. We've been on three date nights since DS was born a year ago. We did also get away for 5 days in February which was amazing. With DD due in the next month I doubt we'll see an increase in date nights but we're already planning a week long getaway in November of 2015.
