I grind my teeth as well, though I don't notice if I do that anymore or not. A dentist brought up the possibility years ago but I ignored it because I didn't notice it myself. Then, just last year, I noticed that I would wake up to grittiness in the morning, and I attributed that to my teeth grinding away! I was freaked out and ordered a mouthguard off of Amazon. Unfortunately, I didn't adjust the size correctly and I ended up messing up my bite, so that now, only the last set of teeth on both sides touch. So, if I do grind, only those two sets of teeth grind anyway.
