We got it when DD 2's weight started to plateau at around 5-6 months. I was happy with it. I got it for $30 from another mom in my neighborhood. One other mom told me her doc had the same kind in her office. I like that it converts to a toddler scale too (easily).

My LC had a Salter one too... Hers measured to smaller units... This one didn't, but it was just fine for home use (read: to give me peace of mind).

We rented a baby scale from the lactation consultant to see just how much M was gaining after each feeding and what she was gaining every day. We're thinking of getting one to continue this since it makes me feel better knowing how much she is getting. (she wasn't gaining weight at first, so it is something we feel is important at this point).

If you have a baby scale, which one do you have? Were you happy with it?
