Any add ons or aftermarket parts are unsafe and considered a projectile in the event of a crash. We could get into the details of what could happen but I am sure it is easy for anyone to imagine the impact something that size could have during even a 30mph collision. We took a 14 hour road trip when she was 3 months old and it was a lifesaver. I'm not worried about it as a projectile - it's tethered via the latch system. If it's safe to hold the weight of a carseat, I don't know why a little Brica mirror would be a problem?
