There is a door to close off the mess. It's great - we love having a designated space, and we had always intended for it to be used this way. We also use the room to hang out with our friends after the boys go to sleep - since we can shut the door, it keeps the noise down. It's attached to our living room through a big open doorway, and was referred to by the previous owners as the "sunroom". It's not really what I think of as a traditional sunroom, though it does have a lot of windows and a slider to the deck. I like where it is because of its close proximity to everything on the first floor. </p> <p>Originally when we bought the house we thought we'd keep it as a playroom until the kids got older and then let them take over the basement where they could watch tv or play or video games or whatever without bothering us.
