I'd intended to use some designer open totes I already owned, but didn't like the effort of switching things. For #2 I treated myself to a plain black Marc Jacobs diaper bag since #1 was also still in diapers, and I am so glad I did. I carry that bag pretty much every darn day, so it had better look nice/carry comfortably! I'm using it again for baby2. And it's useable since ds1 is potty trained and I don't carry much in it for him.
