I usually check it once a day or so. I hardly ever update my status. The only thing I use it for is to upload pictures so my mom can see them. I feel like if I deleted it then I would never know anything going on with my brothers. They post so much more than they ever tell me. I did find out that my grandmother had cancer on Facebook via someone's status update. I found that it doesn't really matter how often I'm actually on it, just as long as I'm still connected. I was tired of reading about everyone's great glorified life, and I felt like a stalker most of the time learning about my "friends" through the news feed. I tried my best to keep my personal life private (never mentioned my pregnancy or birth of my LO). I found that I preferred to keep in touch with family and friends in person and through my blog. I deleted my account (although it's physically still there on Facebook's servers) back in September and haven't looked back.</p> <p>I will admit that I am totally out of the loop and have no clue what's going on in anyone's life. Instead of "gossiping" with my husband about the news on Facebook, we have more meaningful conversations about our day and real news. When I get together and catch up with a friend, I am actually catching up with them with no knowledge of what has been posted on Facebook. It's a nice change.</p> <p>Of course the time I used to spend on Facebook is now dedicated to Hellobee.
