We have a whiteboard calendar that we write our events on! I also started writing when he is at school vs. when my dad or FIL is watching him so that we can all be in the know on where he is on what day. I write all of our appointments on there and events that we have going on. It's worked out really well for us!

I have tried soooo many different family wall calendars over the years! The cute chalkboard wall decals that you see on Pinterest ended up peeling paint off the wall and you couldn't see the chalk that well. Regular calendars ended up being too small to see from a distance.

I just bought a huge dry erase calendar last week from Paper Source. We also have a chalkboard wall in our entryway so we can write notes in big letters. I think this is working the best so far!

We went to the home of one of my son's classmates and she had a chalkboard wall in her kitchen! It was the most amazing thing and had everything including what would go in the kids' lunches every day. I want to do this so badly!!

Though I'm not a mom (yet), DH knows before making plans to check this because I write everything on it.

We have a regular hanging wall calendar and it works great for us. I like being able to see the whole month at a glance: when my gym days are, when DH has meetings, work trips, when drs appts are, when birthday parties are, etc

We have the Amy Knapp's Big Grid calendar hanging from a command hook on the pantry door and under that a whiteboard. We've tried the Google Calendar method but DH's work calendar gets so full that he misses a lot of things so the paper calendar helps him to just see things as he walks by.

Yes, we use Amy Knapp's family organizer. It hangs on a bulletin board and we keep our few bills that aren't auto-paid etc up there. DH needs a paper calendar for some reason. I also like that it has a spot for dinner planning as that is something we are focusing on as a family.

Even though it is just OH and myself, we have a markerboard that lists the days of the week. On top of appointments/plans, we also list chores that need done and what is on the menu for dinner. We sit down on Sunday morning and plan out our week. We also have a wall calendar for longer term plans. Once our LO comes, I can imagine it will be doubly helpful.

We don't have kids who would benefit from a command center yet but we just use Google calendars and have them set so they show up on each other's calendar. It works really well for us, joint events we send invitations for and the other ones we can just see the person is busy.

I bought an erasable marker board and put it on the fridge. All appointments, events and work schedules go on there. It's worked well for us the past few years.

We used to just use our phones and track appointments/events/reminders that way, but now that DH has a lot going on with his business plus other two jobs, the girls always have appointments and I have my own things going on I thought it would be nice to have some type of family calendar. I like the idea of the command center type deals with a marker board calendar (or similar) and maybe a chalkboard or something to write notes.

Does anyone have anything like this? Does it work out well, or do you have a better idea for me? :)
