We've had some heavy people sit in them and I don't think there's been any problem. I'm assuming not all hard plastic ones are created equal. DH sat in one at my BIL's and they groaned under his weight! It's funny, that second pic is actually one I took last year when we bought the house and it has the former owner's stuff. But ours look really similar. I'm actually really glad we got the plastic ones though, not the wood ones the former owners had. For one, they were a fraction of the price - $17 vs. $100+. Also, they get bird poop on them constantly and pollen and all sorts of other stuff. We actually just had a really nice fire ring with a grill gifted to us by a company we do business with but haven't picked it up yet. I'm doing some research on local places that sell the fire pit kits. Should be so fun for the cooler months and making s'mores in the backyard! :grin:
