I like it because I log my food on it as well. It will calculate your basal metabolic rate, and in combination with your steps/activity, it will tell you approximately how many calories you burn per day. (Within the limitations of the device. I wish it gave me credit for lugging E up and down the stairs, but it only counts the number of flights I climb.)

You can set a plan to target a specific calorie deficit each day. (I'm on the "kinda hard" plan of a 750 calorie deficit per day, which is totally achievable eating 1200 to 1300+ calories per day as long as I don't sit on my butt all day.) In fact, the best part is that you *don't* want to sit on your butt, because you gotta get those steps, man! And I'm not going to the gym either...but I'm down from 147 to 144 since I started more faithfully using it after the holidays on December 30th.

Clearly, I'm a fan. :) We have a HB fitbit group too!

@grizz: I have the FitBit One. I like it for the most part though I have found you pretty much always need to be wearing clothing with pockets. I am probably going to be buying the flex in the next few days.

@petunia354: It's mainly for counting a steps, so super useful when using a treadmill, walking/running outdoors. I have been able to use it on an elliptical but other than that...

I was looking at them online last night. I think I like the force the best because it has a screen, but I wish it had a heart rate monitor built in. I'm not sure I understand how it tracks your activity accurately without measuring your heart rate.

I'm considering getting one. What model do you have? Would you recommend it?
Tell me what you love or don't love about it :)
