We planted corn, green beans, tomatoes, bell peppers, and squash. We're getting tomatoes every day but are freezing them to be made into sauce at a later date. The squirrels here are horrible and have eaten every tomato except two that I managed to pick before they got to them. I have harvested one cucumber and two zucchini. Everything else didn't fare so well. We have a ton of herbs, tomatoes, garlic, carrots, onions, peppers, radishes, fava beans, snow peas, brussels sprouts, bennings green tint summer squash, and we have a pumpkin that grew out of our compost pile. And herbs! One of the tomato plants has sooo many green ones but they refuse to ripen and I'm afraid the frost will get them before they ripen. The other two plants are doing great! I'm getting the soil ready this weekend, actually. </p> <p>We always have blackberries and this year we grew grapes (for summer), too. Out citrus trees are full and will probably be ready to pick by November. Herbs? Fruit? Combinations?</p> <p>I planted my first veggie garden this year and am totally LOVING it! Everything is producing beautifully and you just can't beat fresh from the garden! Not to mention my grandmothers and Mum give me extra that I'm able to blanche and freeze for the winter! I'm hoping to make my first few jars of pickles and possibly salsa! I also plan to plant some herbs next year! </p>
