I'm lucky that both are good eaters and good sleepers. Of course it wasn't always that way. It took months to get LO2 on board with eating, which is even more difficult with his long list of allergies.

Amazing sleeper (since 8 months... terrible before that), but very picky eater (although he'll eat plenty of stuff he likes).

He's a great sleeper now. Months 4-8 were absolutely brutal. Now he sleeps 12 hours most nights plus a 2 hour nap. Nap varies a little bit but it's pretty consistent 2+ hours. Eating is a total toss up. Sometimes he's great and will eat anything we give him. Other times it's a "favorite" item or something he's happily eaten before and he won't touch it. I voted good sleeper/bad eater, but his eating really isn't AWFUL. He just seems to go through phases.

Lo1 is a great eater, terrible sleeper. Has been since birth.
Lo2 is great at both but he hasn't hit the picky toddler stage yet. Holding my breath for that one ;)

Ok I voted both good eater and sleeper, but realized others might not agree with my definition of good sleeper! He's always taken naps and fallen asleep pretty easily, and he sleeps until 8 most days, give or take. But he didn't sleep through the night until 25-26 months. He'd wake up to nurse, but he'd usually fall right back asleep, no crying or paryting in the middle of the night. So I consider that good, but others might not!

until a couple of weeks ago, I thought great sleeper and great eater. He's still relatively good at both but naps have gotten shorter and shorter and he can go through picky phases when eating........ I'm still hoping he starts to take a longer nap every day....soon.......

Amazing sleeper, bad eater (sometimes) - since sleep training a year ago I can count on one hand the number of times he's woken up in the night, and he reliably naps 2/3 hours every day.
He doesn't eat well and has veeeeerrrrrry slowly climbed from the 2nd %ile to the 20th with a lot of coaxing. He is getting better but its still a constant source of stress.

I didn't vote because it changed with age. Neither of my boys are the best sleepers but not totally horrible either. Both were excellent eaters as babies. But DS1 became picky at 2.5 so I don't really consider him a good eater anymore. DS2 is still a pretty good eater but wondering how long they will last.

E is not great at either :bummed: It is a huge source of stress for me, especially the food. He's 17 months.

Food wise, he is really picky, doesn't like to try new things, won't eat most veggies, won't eat most meat. Carbs, fruit, dairy. That's pretty much it. He is plenty big and will eat a lot, but I feel like it isn't really as healthy as I would like. And meals, especially dinner, usually involve a lot of screaming.

He's not a terrible sleeper, he goes down pretty easily at 7 but is up between 4 and 5:30 most days, some days I can get him to go back to sleep. Naps are better than they were but still a bit of a crapshoot.

My first was an average sleeper, not a good eater. He was fickle at the breast and took small bottles for forever and because he was low birth weight I was always stressed. But I never had to sleep train and he STTN at 8 months, so does that count as good? He's 3.5 and I'd say he's pretty average in both depts. He sleeps fine at night but gave up his nap before 3. He eats probably what normal picky 3.5 year olds eat. Some days he eats everything including vegetables, some days he sustains himself on air.

My second is a great eater, has been from birth. So while he was also tiny, I have never for a moment worried about his size (and he's average sized now). He was a horrendous sleeper until 3 months. Even at 10.5 months I can count the number of times he has STTN....on one hand  He still nurses well and destroys solids.

Milk - Never an amazing drinker of milk (never on the high end of milk in-take, breast or formula)

Solids - Amazing since day 1 besides being sick (so one of my telltale signs is if she doesn't eat!)

Sleep - Took us 8-9 months but now she sleeps and naps great!

E is neither! Actually, to be fair, her sleep has really improved recently (knock on wood) but she was an extreme crap napper and didn't STTN until she was 25 months. Her eating has also improved recently (knock on wood), in that she now eats every day - until recently, she would go entire weekends on water and cake - but she's still super picky and never eats breakfast.

She is, however, very confident (no shynesss, clingyness), which I am grateful for. She is also very verbal and so we appear to have completely missed the terrible twos (knock on woooooood!). I don't think she has ever had a proper tantrum (although I hear "that's not fair" and "that's boring" 200x a day! Early threenager!).

I guess what Im trying to say is that every child has their challenging points and every child has their easy peasy points.
