Although it is good to have for emergencies. We are constantly get calls for a random woman who didn't pay her bills, pretty annoying. I use it on my work from home days, but most other days - we just use our cell phones. I keep a non-cordless phone available to plug in, just in case the power goes out and we need to either contact or be contacted.
