Here you don't usually get pulled over for speeding (unless you're going crazy) you just get snapped with the radar and get a civic compliance fine in the mail. I'm particularly careful in residential areas, but I do find myself creeping up on the freeway.</p> <p>When we went to Greece I was freaking out. people speed like maniacs! Agree that speed policers in the left lane are the *worst*, especially because it's illegal to pass on the right in our state. So dickish to police other people's speed, and dangerous to not move with the flow of traffic. </p> <p>I do have a lead foot, I guess. Especially if I think kids are out playing.</p> <p>But highways... I speed and go over the limit. Like average 10-15 mph. East coast driving is so much more aggressive and people speed more often. So it's nice going with the flow of traffic.<br /> Now PNW is so slow. People go the speed limit or less. Drives me nuts. Like 5 miles over on regular streets. More on highways- but I'm not really that fast if a driver. DH is. I haven't driven very often since I had kids, but I always go at or below the speed limit now!</p> <p>One time I was driving to a vet appointment and got a ticket for going not too much over the limit. I thought the police only ticketed you if you were going 10 mph over the limit? Anyway now I just go the limit, or avoid driving entirely.</p> <p>Do you go the speed limit? </p>
